The Eliminate Project surpasses US$100 MILLION!
As the District Conventions began in August, the Kiwanis family got some big news: with the help of a match from the Canadian government, The Eliminate Project raised more than US$100 million in cash and pledges in August.
That means we now need less than US$10 million to reach our fundraising goal for the campaign. It’s an historic moment – and an exciting time to be part of the Kiwanis family. “A world free of maternal and neonatal tetanus will soon be a reality,” says Kiwanis International President John Button. “It is a great accomplishment to pass the US$100 million fundraising mark. It is because of Kiwanis members’ continued devotion to the children of the world that families will no longer know the anguish and pain of losing a mother or baby to tetanus.”
Of course, our work goes beyond raising US$110 million to eliminate MNT. Achieving our goal will also raise the profiles of Kiwanis International and the Kiwanis International Foundation in communities around the world and that means we will attract enthusiastic, service-minded individuals who want to join our winning team.
As we reach our goal, we ask for your continued dedication so we can make history – and generate the kind of excitement that helps inspire and attract potential new members around the world.
